Sandlin Guardianship – 1988

This is a transcription of a document that gives Jack H. Sandlin Guardianship of his mother, Jeptha I. Sandlin, on October 25th, 1988. It was necessary for Jack to obtain guardianship of his mother in order to sell the property. Jeptha was deemed incompetent due to her physical and mental state of being.

GUARDIAN’S DEED

THIS INDENTURE, executed the 25th day of October, 1988, between JACK H. SANDLIN as Guardian of the person and property of Jeptha I. Sandlin, incompetent, hereinafter called Party of the First Party, and VASCO HESTER and BERTIE HESTER, his wife, whose mailing address is P.O. Box 188, Jasper, Florida 32052, hereinafter collectively called Party of the Second Part;

WITNESSETH:

Party of the First Part, pursuant to the certain Order Authorizing Conveyance entered by the Circuit Court for Hamilton County, Florida, on September 23, 1988, recorded in Official Record Book 233, pages 37 through 39, inclusive, public records of Hamilton County, Florida, and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable considerations in hand paid, grants, bargains, sells, aliens, remises, releases, conveys and confirms to the Party of the Second Part, and to their heirs and assigns forever, that certain real property situate in Hamilton County, Florida, more particularly described as follows:

Lot No. 9 of Block No. 102 of Lang’s Map of the City of Jasper, Florida.

TOGETHER with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances belonging or in anywise appertaining to that real property.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same to the Party of the Second Part, and to their heirs and assigns, in fee simple forever.

AND, the Party of the First Part does covenant to and with the Party of the Second Part, their heirs and assigns, that in all things preliminary to this conveyance, the Orders of the above named Court and the laws of Florida have been followed and complied with in all respects.
